Mevagissey Primary School
Motivating everybody, valuing all
Mevagissey Primary School is a mixed-form entry school, located on the outskirts of Mevagissey, a picturesque fishing village on the south coast of Cornwall.
Positioned at the top of the hill, with stunning sea views, we have the pleasure of teaching children from Mevagissey, the surrounding villages, and St Austell. We are absolutely committed to doing the very best for our children. We provide a caring, secure and intellectually stimulating environment, which ensures that our children feel valued and excited to learn. Through challenge, support and encouragement, we develop within our pupils qualities of curiosity, creativity, resilience, and self-confidence.
Collaboration is the key to our success. Parents, staff and governors work together so that all children develop to their full potential. Above all, we want our children to take pride in everything they achieve, to grow and to learn with confidence.
We feel our curriculum offer is broad, balanced and unique. Utilizing our fantastic surroundings is at the forefront of what we do. Beach school, the Year 6 Mevagissey Museum Project, and our involvement in Mevagissey Feast week are just a few examples of what make our school and our community so special.
Mevagissey Primary School is proud to be part of the CELT where our collective aim is to ‘learn together to help every child achieve more’.
